It’s apparent that she's always loved teaching...

Prior to receiving her bachelor’s degree in education, she pursued a career in financial services. Upon becoming a Regional Manager with Primerica Financial Services as an independent representative, it allowed her to manage and train others.  The motivational aspect of being with Primerica developed her innate gift of teaching. She then set a goal of attending college with determination and completed with a bachelor’s degree in education. In 2009, the Florida Department of Education issued her certification as a highly qualified teacher grades K-6.

Jan. 2000 – May 2021, she was employed at Keeping UP, A Safe Site for Suspended Students. Keeping UP, under the auspice of Redeeming Light Community Services operated as an alternative school for suspended students from grade levels, K-12 to remain focused academically in a structured and supervised environment. They accommodated the needs of ESOL and ESE programs.  In this classroom she had the opportunity to empower them academically, build self-esteem, and character guidance in subjects such as anger management, conflict resolution, and peer mediation.  No student should be left behind due to an interruption from school.

In May 7, 2012 the inception of Rizing To The Top, LLC, was launched.  She's passionate about the academic foundation of learners.  We provide quality tutoring that supports student learning and empowering them to achieve academic success. Specializing in the ability to work with students on a one-on-one basis, we provide them with customized learning plans that adapt to their grade level.
